In 2014, area home sales volume for the year grew, but at just 4.5% more than area home sales in 2013. This past year, 2015 saw a huge jump of 21.8% more area homes sold than in 2014--finally, a solid gain in sales volume growth! In the Sapphire Valley Resort, 2015 home sales volume jumped 47.6% over 2014, to it's highest level since the peak of the market. Leading the way, new home sales also strengthened, carrying it's biggest share of area home sales since the peak of the market as well.
Vacant lot sales continued to be slower, but with new construction leading the way, that too should soon see signs of strengthening. Fortunately, I actually sold twice as many vacant lots in 2015 as I did the previous year. Indeed, all signs point to a great 2016 for the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau!
